Career Exploration Internship

Internships give students the opportunity to personally experience their career areas of interest. The student’s understanding of his/her suitability for a career, the opportunities available to him/her, and general work force practices and expectations will become evident as a result of in-class instruction and  work experience. Students will develop employment skills under actual working conditions. Students’ interest in academics will be enhanced by the applications of academic and job-related learning to actual work situations—learning becomes more relevant.

Career Exploration Internship through Global Campus requires acceptance through an application process. The application should be completed through the Center Grove Guidance website.

Students may sign up for two class periods, if his/her schedule allows; this would allow for daily release time and would also allow the student to earn up to two credits.  Students receiving one credit will be required to attend their Internship site 3 hours a week.  Students receiving two credits will be required to attend their Internship site 6 hours a week.

Fulfills an elective requirement for all diplomas.

Students must have access to a computer or mobile device with high-speed internet access. Students must also have access to an iPad or a comparable device with the Notability app or similar PDF Annotation app.
