Algebra 1, Semester 1

Algebra I provides a formal development of the algebraic skills and concepts necessary for students who will take other advanced college-prep courses. Students will apply algebraic concepts and relationships in a wide range of problem-solving situations. Topics include, but are not limited to: properties of real numbers, polynomials, linear and quadratic equations, systems of equations, exponents, and basic statistics and probability.

Algebra I through Global Campus is available to students who have not successfully completed Algebra I, Semester I. For Center Grove High School students, this course is used for credit recovery purposes only. Students outside of the district may be eligible to take Algebra I for initial credit.

Diploma
Fulfills the Algebra I/Integrated Mathematics I requirement for the General, Core 40, Core 40 with Academic Honors and Core 40 with Technical Honors diplomas.

Requirements
Students must have access to an iPad (or comparable device) with the following apps: Notability, Educreations, and Canvas. In addition, students are strongly encouraged to have access to a reliable computer with high-speed internet access.

Final Exam
Yes, an on-site final exam is required for this course. A valid photo ID is required. Details will be provided by the course instructor.
